🔯 Mexico has a Selenite mine discovered in 2000 called the Naica Mine located in the Chihuahua Desert with some of the natural largest crystal formations found, some as long as 36 feet/11 meters!

🔯 The cave is not considered safe for long as it has extreme hot and humid conditions that can reach up to 136 degrees Fahrenheit and around 90% humidity

🔯 Typically forms in Sedimentary environments and geological deposits such as evaporites, saline lakes and shallow marine sediments

🔯 Ranges in a variety of formations from small blades, natural wands & large crystals several meters in length

🔯 Selenite and Satin Spar are essentially the same composition the only difference is grade and formation. selenite tends to be more transparent and considered higher grade whereas satin spar is very fiberous and flakey

🔯 It is a form of gypsum
